Memories of Roosterville (2024)
This album commemorates a brief period of time in late 2021 when my family and I lived in an old farmhouse in the small west Georgia community of Roosterville. It was a beautiful setting for getting away from the world and meditating on the past and preparing for the future.
The sentiment of the album is a bit of an homage to a time-gone-by, looking back on and remembering what once was but is no longer. Available on Bandcamp and YouTube. |

Vignettes (2023)A description from a fan:
"And THIS is the album you should buy today!!! As the name suggests, “Vignettes” by Pat Strawser is a variety show of musical styles, ranging from fusion/jazz to synthwave to progressive rock to sci-fi soundtracks and beyond, unified by sweet vintage keys and the truly skilled musician behind them. I’ve heard all of Pat’s works, and this album has quickly become my favorite. There’s so much variety here, but it’s not directionless. Every track takes you on a short journey, maybe even just somewhere into your own memory or imagination. “Heading West” to me, for example, paints a futuristic cowboy picture of some big rust bucket of a robot gun slinger slipping into a saloon to down a few steins of motor oil before riding his heavy clunker ass into the sun set on a really pissed off horse. Give it a listen; you’ll be glad you did." Read a feature article on the album and interview by Cherry Audio here. Available on Bandcamp and YouTube. |

Background (2020)One listener's description:
"It's a wide mix, nice solos and texture variety. You should be on Jean Luc Ponty's payroll. It's like 80s soundtracks with modern production quality - one minute I'm watching a Jackie Chan chase scene from a helicopter aerial view, next it's USA after hours with scantily clad women and lipstick, intrigue and murder, then it's the golden age of porn, and then it's blade runner." Available now on Bandcamp, Spotify, and various other online streaming platforms. |

SYNTH (2019)
SYNTH takes the listener on a sublime musical journey evocative of 80's crime-drama television, National Geographic soundtracks, and Stranger Things.
The concept behind SYNTH was to create a soundscape that was built around the character and emulation of old 70's and 80's synthesizers. Using a combination of software and hardware synths, I attempted to avoid the true-to-life and realism of acoustic pianos, orchestras, and other instrumentation that modern synthesizer technology has come to emulate so well. Instead, the instrumentation is meant to sound organic, original, and other worldly....sounds that you expect to hear from a synthesizer attempting to sound like a piano from 1975. Also available on Bandcamp and on compact disc. |

fifty-two (2018)
This moody instrumental debut solo release combines elements of rock, ambient, jazz, and all points in between to create a compelling cinematic musical experience.
In the fall of 2013, I embarked on a personal challenge. I decided to try and write and record one piece of music every week and post it to my blog, and to see how long I could keep this up. The goal was not so much to produce polished and finished products every week, as much as it was to simply get it done – good or bad. I started in November, and kept it up for about a year. A description from a fan: "Buy and listen to this album RIGHT NOW! Pink Floyd, Jan Hammer, William Orbit, Rush. This record references them all but also goes WAY beyond them. Each track will challenge you. This is one of the most interesting records I have come across in a while." Also available on Bandcamp and on compact disc. |
