Pat Strawser’s musical career spans over 20 years of experience. Beginning with privateclassical piano instruction in 1985, he studied with Margund Ennulat, wife of world-renownedorganist and artist Dr. Egbert Ennulat. His studies continued with Joey Hokayem from 1992 to 1993, after which he embarked upon an involved tenure with the Athens music scene as a keyboard player for various local music groups. Since 1994, he has fronted or accompanied a variety of bands, covering styles ranging from fusion and jazz, to R & B, and straight rock and roll, to contemporary Christian and gospel, to country, to classical. Since 1998, Pat has been an in-demand session player both on the stage as well as in the studio. His playing credits on more than 20 studio recordings has firmly established him as a competent and dependable member of the local music community. As a sideman, Pat has shared the stage with some of Athens’ most talented and celebrated musicians. In addition to his playing work, he has also been active as an engineer, producer, piano teacher, and composer. Having done work for church and for commercial use, and jazz and rock groups, he has also produced a wealth of solo home-studio recordings. Whether it’s as a music instructor and writer, in the studio doing jingle work, playing standards at the local country club, or sitting in with a rock band, Pat feels at home.
